Plot summary

However, Dom betrays them and takes the device for Cipher, leaving Hobbs to be arrested by the authorities.
Hobbs is sent to the same prison where Shaw is being held, but they are soon freed by Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) and his protégé Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood), who recruit them to help track down Dom and Cipher. They learn that Cipher is a cyberterrorist who plans to use the EMP device and a stolen nuclear submarine to start a war between Russia and the US. They also discover that Dom is working for her because she has kidnapped Elena (Elsa Pataky), his former lover, and their son, whom he never knew existed.
The team follows Dom and Cipher to New York, where they manage to stop them from stealing a nuclear football from the Russian Minister of Defense. However, Cipher kills Elena in front of Dom as punishment for his resistance. She then orders him to go to Russia and take control of the submarine. The team follows him there, along with Shaw, who reveals that he was secretly working with Mr. Nobody to infiltrate Cipher's plane. Shaw rescues Dom's son while Dom turns against Cipher and helps his team disable the submarine's missiles. Cipher escapes in her plane, vowing revenge on Dom.
